The Switchable Story

In 2016, our founder, Brian Webb, took charge of managing his parents' energy bills. By analyzing their bill data and comparing available market tariffs, he saved them over €800 in that year alone. Brian switched their electricity provider from Electric Ireland (or the ESB as they referred to it) and their gas provider from Bord Gais. His parents had never switched providers since deregulation, resulting in years of overpayment due to inertia and the complexities of navigating energy suppliers and deals.

With a strong background in the energy industry and expertise in data management and analysis, Brian attended a Local Enterprise Office, “Start Your Own Business” course. Fast forward to 2024 and supported by Enterprise Ireland, he has since developed his business to simplify the energy supplier and plan switching process for others.
